Service Industry

Typically, economies are composed of two key elements, the goods-producing sector and the service sector. Forestry, agriculture and construction are typical of the former while the service sector is composed of; health services, religion, education and recreation facilities, restaurants, utilities, financial, legal, real estate and insurance entities. Haliburton County has a core nucleus of service businesses such as our hospitals, banks and education facilities. Based on the strengths of these components, the County is poised to attract new service providers.
